OhmSquare (Night Flowers)
Official music video for Ohm Square, 2020: a report on a world after people, animated in Unreal Engine.
The video captures the feeling and atmosphere that swept across the world in early 2020. It explores what a report on our society would look like if all humans suddenly disappeared due to the virus — a journey through a landfill of the artifacts and symbols that define us. Flowers blooming after dark, unseen by anyone, stand for a subtle hope that always grows unnoticed, even among the debris.
Night Flowers is a track by the Czech electronic project Ohm Square, Jan Čechtický's primary band, and an example of his ongoing creative partnership with Jan Drozda. The video was conceived and produced under "Quarantine Home Production" during the 2020 lockdowns and released on Ohm Square's studio album.
The 3D animated video, made in Unreal Engine, was featured at animation and film showcases including Aniont and the Animation HUB catalogue.
Concept, direction & animation: Jan Drozda.
